The Prefect is our newest shape. Designed for modern competitive play, it "fits in the box", so you can use it at any major contest. Hand-turned in our Vancouver workshop, this is a super-honed kendama that will shred tricks with ease.
Each ken featuers a maple leaf woodburned into the big cup. Made by hand from start to finish, each piece is unique and beautiful.
Maple is used for the big cup an bottom cup. This is a domestic species, well-loved for its great feel and durability, it was included in the design to increase playability.
Red Elm is the closest living relative of Japanese Keyaki. It is a soft wood species with heavy grippy grain that locks in stall and balance tricks like no other.

'Prefect' means 'head of it's class'. We chose this name because we think this is the best dama we've made yet, we hope you'll agree.
