The Prefect is designed for modern competitive play, it "fits in the box", so you can use it at any major contest. Hand-turned one at a time in our Vancouver workshop, this is a luxury kendama without rival.
Mahogany species are well-known and prized for their beauty and rarity. This piece is very nicely iridescent, and has a good density, making for a solid feeling during play.
Maple Burl has a wild and random grain pattern, this piece has been dyed green and stabilized using resins.
Curly Hickory (tama) is a dense wood species that is well known for being very hard and durable. We hand-picked lumber to find the most highly figured pieces possible, the wavy grain on this tama is absolutely stunning.
