The Prefect is designed for modern competitive play, it "fits in the box", so you can use it at any major contest. Hand-turned one at a time in our Vancouver workshop, this is a luxury kendama without rival.
Black Walnut is a dark and beautiful wood species, that has a light and 'clicky' feel while playing. Perfect for someone that prefers a low-weight setup that can slap tricks.
Maple Burl has a wild and random grain pattern, this piece has been dyed yellow and stabilized using resins. It is much heavier than the walnut, so the piece in the sarado balances out against the piece in the handle.
Red Elm (tama) is the closest living relative of Japanese Keyaki. It is a soft wood species with heavy grain that locks in stall and balance tricks like no other.
